At The Skin Institute we have over 110 years of experience between all of the team. We all believe that knowledge is power and attend individually over 80 hours of external training each year to deliver to you, the best and the latest in skin care modalities.
Michelle Field - DirectorAesthetic Specialist Registered Nurse
Michelle is a Mercy Private Division 1 Registered Nurse / Peri-Operative Nurse from St. Vincent’s Public Hospital Melbourne.
Michelle has over 30 years of experience in the Plastic Surgery and Non-Surgical Industry and has always attended conferences here and overseas to attain the highest standards in treatments that she can then incorporate in your treatments.
Michelle instigated the incorporation of medical based skin care into many Plastic Surgeons rooms to add a new and improved dimension to the excellent facial surgery performed by the highly qualified surgeons she has had the opportunity to work with.
As an Aesthetic Specialist Registered Nurse, Michelle believes that the face, neck and chest should be radiant and take home skin care is just as important as Aesthetic Clinical Treatments.

Colette WatsonNurse / Laser Specialist
Colette trained in Liverpool, England and specialised as a theatre nurse in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery for over 20 years. Colette has been a part of The Skin Institute for 19 years.
Specialising in both ND:Yag and Prowave 770 nanometer (infra-red laser hair removal) Colette can offer you the best type of hair removal to suit your skin type and colour. She also specialises in brown spot removal and skin rejuvenation.

Laura Ashamay Bannar-MartinRegistered Nurse/Laser Specialist
Laura studied nursing at Australian Catholic University, her first role as a nurse was at St. Vincent’s Public hospital working on the orthopaedics and general medical ward for two years.
After immensely enjoying the wound component with the team on the Orthopaedics ward Laura then started working at a medical clinic where she specialised in wound healing and attained knowledge about the skin and its many functions. Cosmetic nursing and skin care has always been a passion of Laura’s and she brings her knowledge and enthusiasm to the team. Laura has been a valued team member of The Skin Institute for 7 years.
Nuala NaughtonAesthetic Clinical Nurse Specialist
Nuala has worked in the aesthetic surgery field for 30 years, 20 years of which she has worked alongside highly specialised plastic surgeons performing adjunct treatments to aesthetically enhance faces.
Nuala is continually updating her skills by attending numerous conferences and workshops and remains at the forefront of new products and techniques.
Nuala’s experience has earned her a reputation for excellence in aesthetic judgement and technique, ensuring her clients avoid the ‘overdone’ look, which has become so prevalent in the industry.
Sammie VawdreyRegistered Nurse
Sammie is a registered nurse and Qualified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist. Her background includes surgical nursing on a plastics and urology ward all the while having a long-standing passion for the cosmetic industry.
Sammie trained with the renowned Fresh Clinics post lockdown and has now been practicing for over 3 years.
Her approach is natural and progressive, “less is more”
